How does such a publication receive a 5-star rating? Nutrigenomics and Nutrigenetics are serious science and yet this book reads like an Astrology Guide - the reader fills in a questionnaire listing various aspects of the person's personality, lifestyle and health. When the answer sheet is tallied, up comes a very short list of 7 or 8 genes which are apparently dysfunctional - and with such apparent dysfunction explaining all the ills the individual has ever experienced. Given that the human body carries some 25,000 genes in total, by some miracle, the author has selected just the very few that govern a person's health. This book is rubbish to the extreme. So why do readers 'love' this book? I suspect because it is gimmicky - who doesnt read the occasional Astrology Guide to see what the future might hold? Do some more research please before falling into this abyss of half-truths. Human bodies do NOT work as this book suggests. The only way to establish if one carries particular gene variants (we call them polymorphisms) is to have a DNA test done in an accredited laboratory and then have the report interpreted by a clinician who is appropriately trained in this field. Reader beware! (And I haven't even mentioned the technical errors raised by other reviewers)
